Updated best practice guidance from The Wild Deer Best Practice Group

If you are engaged in deer stalking, you will likely be aware of the changes to the order which allows for the shooting of deer in Scotland with an image intensifying scope and also the changes to bullet weights. 

These changes were heralded in the SACS October newsletter and in the news section of the SACS website.

These documents are required reading for those using image intensifying sights when stalking deer.  You will understand that to shoot deer at night in Scotland you are required to have the appropriate authority issued by Nature Scot.  Otherwise, you would likely be breaching the conditions of your FAC as the quarry would not be lawful, the consequences of which could be significant.
